Oh dear.
Here’s a tip: Don’t tie your product to an unpleasant outcome.
If you’re selling feature is that it’s pretty quiet for a chainsaw, maybe you should show how your neighbours will be happy or something. But this ad might as well run the tagline:
Those fucking birds won’t know what hit ‘em.
Bad idea.
Previous Stihl spots were a lot better.

Simple, cute, and clear.

Well done.

I liked South Africa’s take too.

This is just a brilliant campaign with good solid copy.

I wouldn’t hesitate to donate.

I hate to be skeptical, but this is ‘improvised’ as much as The Hills was reality TV.

Can someone help me out here? I feel like I must be missing something.

Is the whole big idea that the guy is inflated? Really?

And does it just look like a punching bag to anyone else?

So bad. Or I’m missing the joke.

Well, I watched the rest of the Hahn commercials and they were all pretty dumb. This one is the only other one I’d consider postable.

This is one of a series ads for Hahn Beer.

I think it’s funny enough, and I like that this ‘Super Dry’ beer has gone with a super dry comedic delivery.

I like it. I’ll post more when I get a chance to watch them.

These ads are getting mixed reviews, but I like ‘em.

The copy, “Incredibly powerful, surprisingly quiet” is simple and to the point.

My only knock on the ad is that the visual concept doesn’t convey both benefits. We see that it’s powerful, but nothing tells us it’s quiet.

Regardless, they’re good ads.

This is a pretty ballsy ad. I’ve already seen some people criticize this ad for putting out the message: drink water, not Heineken. But this is shortsighted.

I love it when companies know who they are. Heineken doesn’t need to appeal to binge drinkers. This is positioning at it’s best.
